Energy Efficient Mortgages could play central role in Europe’s new sustainable finance strategy

Energy efficient mortgages could play a central role in Europe’s new strategy for sustainable finance, states a EeMAP White Paper published today under the EU funded ‘Energy Efficient Mortgages Action Plan’ (EeMAP) Initiative – which sets out key recommendations towards the creation of an energy efficient mortgage product for Europe.

In producing this White Paper, EMF-ECBC has summarised the results of comprehensive research findings which are detailed in four underlying EeMAP Technical Reports on the same topics (available here), and which constitute the basis of initial cross-sectorial conclusions and recommendations regarding the cornerstones of a future Energy Efficient Mortgage product.
